ECU Zoom Backgrounds

These custom Zoom backgrounds will bring a piece of #PirateNation into your video conferences.

With classes moving to alternative course delivery and faculty and staff teleworking, Pirates are taking advantage of Zoom’s “virtual background” feature. This feature allows you to trade your real background for different — possibly more exciting — settings.

Since the Zoom backgrounds are customizable and all of us ARRRGH missing Pirate Nation, the social media team created some downloadable options to put you back in your favorite Pirate locations. Take your conference call from the Main Campus Student Center, give your presentation in front of excited Pirate fans in Dowdy-Ficklen Stadium or attend your class from the Cupola!

To use the backgrounds:

Download the full-resolution image you want to use by clicking the link under the photo.
While in a Zoom meeting, click the up arrow next to “Stop Video” and select “Choose Virtual Background.” You will see a selection of default options.
Next to the “Choose Virtual Background” heading, you’ll see a “+”. Click it to upload your selection.
Your new background is all set!
